02 3.3l non flex grand caravan se, milky oil after head gasket replaced
Please help, i replaced the left side or closest to radiator head gasket, it was obviously blown between cyls 2 and 4. I was getting bubbling in my overflow tank and overheating only while driving. Anyway now it still smoking white exhaust and new engine oil is milky, and way above the full line on dipstick. I get that coolant is getting into my oil but is my cylinder head cracked? Or maybe warped? I have all the same symptoms before i replaced gasket except for the milky oil please help!!!!!!!!!
If it was overheating perhaps the rear head gasket has also failed. Also on the possible list of causes would be improper installation of the new head gasket on the front head.
Only you would know if the head is cracked or warped as that should have been checked while the head was off, as well as a number of other things.
Have you done a leakdown test? Cooling system pressure test?

when i took the intake off i noticed oil in the runners of the very same cyls where the head gasket was blown, the rest all looked fine. So i gambled on that and did not remove rear head. I have tore apart engines my whole life i am not a certified mechanic but from 4cyl to big blocks i have tore apart rebuilt and never had issues till now. I double checked all torque and did everything in sequence its very easy to remove the front or left side head they call it on this van. Anyway i drove it 20 miles w/blown gasket, i replaced it have same issues. but oil w/coolant in it was not one of them so i have new head coming. MAYBE L/INTAKE CRACKED BUT STILL WHY COOLANT IN OIL NOW. Thanks for the quick reply!!!!!!!
