Ive got a 2001 Dodge caravan sport i just changed the alternator yesterday and the previous owner used napa as a mechanic and it currently has a napa battery,oil filter,and compressor. my problem is that the battery was dead this morning and as far as i know its a brand new battery. if anyone knows what this is please help

Also the entire radio area does not work at all it wont even turn on but the bass treble etc lights constantly flash.

 

does the battery have a date on it? I had a bought brand new battery only about a year or so old and it took a crap on me just out of the blue. Otherwise you got something drawing power from it when the van is off which will be hard to find if it clearly isn't on.

 

no theres no date on the battery the previous owner just bought it is all they said.
