code
P0499 Evaporative Emission System Vent Valve Control Circuit High
I believe this is the code. woundering if you did not tighten the gas cap or faulty gas cap?
but could be
P0499 nvld canister vent valve solenoid circuit high
When monitored: engine running
Set condition: the pcm detects a short in the nvld canister vent solenoid circuits. One trip fault.
Possible causes:
Good trip equal to zero
Vehicle history service bulletin investigation
Nvld solenoid

Nvld SOL control circuit shorted to battery voltage
Nvld SOL control circuit open
Ground circuit open

Thanks for the reply, I tried the gas cap thing, not the problem... I did discover something disconected under the van, reconnected it but still has a miss, it looked like what you described, and could have gotten shorted out while everything was just hanging there. It wasn't just the plug disconnected, the face of the unit was sort of broken away from the harness. It snapped into place, but its probably messed up. I thought for sure i found the problem, and it might still be. I'll put a new one on and hope for the best. A real pain to get to in such a tight spot, gonna be fun!
