The ABS light is on continuously as is the TRAC OFF indicator and Brake light comes on intermittently after being started and driven a block or so. The system starts to growl like the ABS is working (you can feel it through the pedal) that stops and the brake lamp will light. I just got back from my local dealer. They said the codes the controller is kicking out indicate the ABS controller is failing due to some internal fault and the passenger front sensor may be bad. I told them to go ahead and order the parts after being told about $800.00 parts and labor to repair. I feel comfortably with the dealer diagnosis and cost.
My question is: Is this a common malfunction? And does anybody know of any TSB's concerning it. This van only has 50K on the odo.

 

Two different ABS systems were used on the 05 model. Can you give us the build date?
