2013 Grand Caravan, Rear DVD
So I purchased a 2013 Grand Caravan, hoping it'd have the rear DVD. The one I looked at didn't, but I liked the rest of the vehicle. The dealer said they could install a rear DVD player no problem. So I went with it. A few days later, I get a call from a local stereo place, saying they are going to install the DVD player. Since the car didn't have it factory, it is impossible to put in the railing system etc. They had an awesome unit picked out and paid for. I was excited to get it installed. Promises of OEM looks, quality work etc. Well I got it back today and I am severely disappointed. The player would continue to stop, wouldn't play any of my dvds...I concluded it was my dvd's, since the kids put them in. We left the place, and bought a brand new DVD, it also stopped. In addition I can't see out of my rear view mirror anymore.
The brand and model is : Vission R9, which I can only find their factory page and someone else selling this unit for $240 yet discontinued. Needless to say I am going back to the dealer.
My question is, if the Grand Caravan is equipped with the DVD player in the front, how hard is it to install the railings and install the rear dvd player? or what other options do I have that make sense?
Thanks!

You have a lot of options if you want to go with an aftermarket unit. But you need to stick to a brand name unit. A decent unit will cost more than $240. You can buy an in-dash GPS navigation system that plays DVDs but you will have to pay $600-$1400.
