2005 Grand Caravan, Electrical issues
I have a 2005 Grand Caravan that I purchased in 2004. Van has a little over 60,000 miles on it. Earlier today I needed to make a run and the van would not start. Jumped it quite easily and the battery appears to be keeping a charge. Later on in the day I needed to shuffle the vehicles in the driveway. When I started the van every light on the dashboard lit up i.e. Check engine, brake, oil, etc. Also none of the gauges appeared to be working. The fuel gauge was reading hard on the "E" and I know the tank had about 3/4 full. When I revved up the engine the rpm gauge did not budge. I have no clue what is happening with the van. When I shut it down all the lights remained lit for about a minute before going out. Need help to figure this out. Thanks
Ditto. First step is to very battery connections are clean and tight and check static and running voltages. Should see 12vdc minimum then 13.5 vdc minimum with engine running. After that check IPM (fuse box) connections for corrosion. They have a history of corrosion problems.
