Question Gen 3 engine swap options

I'm looking to rebuild everything in my 1997 Plymouth Voyager. It's been a great hand-me-down vehicle, but various bits under the hood have started to crap out on me.

It goes without saying that the transmission needs a rebuild and/or replacement, but before I went through all that, I was curious as to what the best option for the engine was. As far as my general choices, I was looking at either replacing the 3.3L EGA it's got in it with either the 2.4L EDZ or the 3.8L EGH. From which vehicles can I get one of these engines and have it bolt properly to an A604 without an insurmountable volume of shenanigans?

I would really like to get the 3.8L out of a later model Wrangler JK, as (and pardon my possibly faulty logic) I would think the engine out of one of those would be re-enforced to take the off-road nonsense those things are advertised to do, thus meaning it would last literally forever in a minivan. I just have this feeling deep in my bowels that it's going to be different in some fundamental way that makes it not fit to an A604 or just simply not fit in the engine compartment.

Additionally, it looks like (from a cursory youtube search) you can get that 2.4L wrung right the hell out, so that sounds fun too!

Any thoughts?
