2010 GC 4.0 Air Conditioning issues
I am having issues with the AC in my 2010 Caravan. Last year, my Air Conditioner was blowing icy cold, which was a life saver as we had one of the hottest summers on record here in MN. This year has been a different story, though. My first opportunity to use the AC was one week after we had 2" of snow
when it hit 98 degrees outside. Now, when I turn on the AC, i get the hissing of the compressor, but the air that blows is barely cooler than outside. I would like to just try to add some R134a (my neighbor has the gauges), but I can't find the low port. Can anyone help with a pic or clear directions?
Welcome to the forum. Now I get to help a fellow Minnesotan, looking at the engine, right side of center, back to the fire wall. You will see the cap on the line. That is the low side port. The system is low if it is hissing, you should also add dye to help locate the leak (most likely the discharge line or rear evaporator).
