I have a 2009 SXT and I just put a 7 point plug on it to pull a 20' tent trailer. The trailer has a battery on it to run the various electrical stuff. I don't have a wiring diagram for the trailer but does the positive point on the plug need to be connected to the battery in the van? I got the other points setup and I am installing a brake controller.

Bump......just to add to this, where can I tap into the auxiliary so my van is charging the trailer battery only when the van is running? I don't want to have a direct feed from the Van's battery positive terminal.
