wow that really stinks. seen here that the previous versions 2000's go thru a puddle that covered about half its door. and keeped going. so these must have the inlet to airbox really low. hmm I be really pissed that Chrysler would not fix this.

Sorry to hear about it happening to another. It's been a year + since our mishap and the van is just fine. 108k on the van with maybe 40k on the engine (2012 model year engine) and no complaints. I do however drive AROUND puddles when in the van now.

Default Air intake to low on 2011+ dodge grandcaravan

I've had constant misfires for about 8 months now the dealership changed temp sensor waterpump lower rad hose thermostat fan relay because temperature gauge goes up and down problem never got fixed anyways back to misfire when it rains I'm driving back from ottawa I'm almost home it's raining hard I hit a puddle engine started to misfire again shortly after I get home it knocks and stalls in driveway. It's been in the shop for a month and I get a call saying the warranty company wants them to find out why it blew. So I get another call saying there is water in the top end of engine and warranty might not cover it. There is a problem with these caravans the air intake is 1.5 feet from the ground in the front bumper under the passenger side headlight I think dodge needs to fix this cause it makes no sense to have air intake that low. The intake used to be in the wheel well but I guess to them they want it in the bumper facing the ground (money grab). If anyone has advice please let me know

Default Power steering

Did driving through the water also mess up your power steering? I was able to jump start my van with it being water logged, but it seems like the alternator got messed up, cause it won't hold a charge. Can't use lights, wipers, heater or anything else.
