The 2006 and 2010 vans are different, so it is not likely that any known problem affecting the 2006 will also apply to the 2010. You need to weigh your financial situation and how much you value having rear air conditioning. Depending on what is actually wrong with the rear evaporator (e.g., if it is leaking or clogged/blocked), it is possible that it could impact your front A/C before long. I believe I recently read a thread on here covering rear A/C deletion, so it is possible to completely bypass the rear A/C. This may not be that much more economical, as you would need to pay the shop to discharge the system, remove the rear lines, install the bypass part(s), and recharge the system.
