Security alarm
I just purchased a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan SE and am not sure if I have a security alarm tied in with the key fob.
The manual says to hit the lock button on the fob OR lock the doors with the power door lock switch while the car door is OPEN and then exit the car. I've tried this and it does not appear to work.
On my window sticker it doesn't mention anything about a security alarm being included in the car but I've also looked and don't see an alarm being offered in any of the packages available for purchase.
I'm just wondering if I'm doing it incorrectly or is it because there is no alarm in the car.
I'm leery about putting an aftermarket alarm in due to the high number of sensitive electrical components in the car.
