Just purchased a 2013 SXT Plus Grand Caravan. Brakes pulsate bad, front rotors have an imprint of the pads, and rusty and getting worse. Thinking its likely from sitting on the lot and all the rain we have had in July.

 

Going back to the dealer tomorrow morning. They think the rotors/pads have rusted while sitting on the lot. They are likely going to replace with new pads and rotors...but will know for sure when they have a look at it tomorrow.

 

Uneven surface rust and pad material transfer from sitting can be solved by bedding in the pads again. This is something you can do yourself, but more importantly it is something that they should have noticed before delivering the vehicle to you.

 

The dealer put brand new rotors on the front...rides and stops smooth now. Obviously no charge.
