In excellent condition, the blue book price is $1,500. This one is no bargain.

Unless he has a brand new Engine and Transmission, I wouldn't pay more than 1000 for it.

Default Hey Winter Beater Material

That thing would be awesome for a winter beater...

Up here in Canada I would be drifting it around light posts and around cars with the foot pedal all winter hahahahaha...

$500 take it or leave it too old to be $3500...

I'd be expecting 2005 GC with stow and go for that price, but condition means a lot. If the van has no rust and has never been patched with bondo, it may be worth it if the tranny and engine are strong. Take a close look at the rear fenders between the wheelwell and the side door and look at the rocker panels between the front door and the rear wheel well. this is where these vehicles rust out. If the metal & paint is original with no bubbles or rust, it will last a few years.

Assuming the engine runs smooth and shows no tailpipe smoke under startup or full throttle, the other item of concern is the transmission. If it's shot, the vehicle will be a total loss because repair will far exceed book value. Don't a used van with a worn out tranny.
