2008 GC SXT

3rd brake light is out, manual says to take it to dealer. I change the rest of the bulbs with no problems...anyone know why the manual says that the dealer needs to do the 3rd brake light?

I believe the bulb(s) in the third brake light cannot be replaced individually; the whole assembly must be replaced as a whole, and you would have to remove the spoiler to get at it. If you are comfortable removing the spoiler or know someone who has done it before then I don't see why you can't go to the dealership parts counter and buy a new assembly. MSRP for that part appears to be US$76.50.
