Default need some help back up lights stay on while driving.

How can I fix this? I bought a 98 caravan from a friend,he failed to tell me that there were no bulbs actually in the sockets. Been driving it this way for 6months. Never knew it. A buddy told me that they didn't work. So when i opened it to change them I found the bulbs missing. So I installed them and now they stay on while I'm driving. Also i put a new directional bulb in on the right rear side and it doesn't work, but it flashes really fast on my dash. Can't figured any of this out. Please help.

Turn sig - check for socket corrosion. Check voltage at the socket. Swap left assembly to right side. If the left works on the right side there is probably an open in the right side light assembly internal circuit.

Reverse lights - If you have the 4 speed 41TE transmission the lights are activated by the transmission range sensor inside the transmission. You can inspect the external connection on the tranny, right side front mounted vertically. If you have the 3 speed tranny the lights activated by the park/neutral switch external to the tranny on the right side front.

As Tizzy pointed out, trailer wiring changes everything. Disconnect it if you have it.
