Default 2012 C/V Transmission Questions????

OK, I have a few company RAM C/V's and I was lookking at changing the transmission fluid on them, but I can't find the dipstick for the transmission or a access port to add fluid. So how is one to change the fluid and filter on the new C/V's? Also how are we to check the level of fluid? How many quarts go into a pan drop and drain?

If anyone can help here I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Somebody jump on me if I'm wrong but I recall reading there is no dipstick. It's a sealed unit and the dealer has to change the fluid if need be.

If you drain the pan, and change the transmission filter you will need to refill it with 5 quarts to 5.5 quarts of ATF+4. The best thing to do is measure what comes out.

On the driver side of the engine bay you should be able to see a black tube and a plastic plug. You unscrew the black plastic plug to add, and to check the level of transmission fluid. Chrysler decided not to supply the dipstick for the 62TE transmission.

You can buy an aftermarket dipstick for like $20 or less. You can also buy a Specialty tool from the dealer to check the level of ATF, and to add the correct amount of ATF.
