Default 41te torque converter locked up

Help? I apologize if I got this wrong as I am new to this forum, but here goes: 95 caravan 4 spd 41te trans 150k, replaced clutches only when I had it out at 45k to replace pump seal. Currently, my torque converter is locked up. Start it, put into drive or reverse and it violently stalls. My wife did manage to limp it home this way. The previous day it would not shift into 4th(lockup) for 1st 10 minutes of driving. Fluid slightly dirty, but I have not yet pulled the pan. I'm thinking it could be either 1)solenoid pack, 2)stuck valve in the valve body or 3) locked torque converter itself. Just not sure where to start, I really don't want to do a full oh right now if it is something much easier (and cheaper). I have not checked trans codes yet as I do not have the cartridge for my snap on scanner. Anybody have any suggestions? I have looked far and wide here as with elsewhere on the net and found very little helpful info. Also, is there a test port on these wher I can check to see if pressure is applied to the torque converter clutch? Thanks!
