I'm at a bit of an impasse with one bolt on the rear valve cover of our 2001 3.8L. It's the second from the left on the inboard side. I can't seem to get the right angle on the head because the socket just slips. One of the runners of the lower manifold is where the interference is coming from.
I really don't want to remove the lower manifold and am hoping someone has a technique that has worked for them.

 

1/4" swivel joint(which I now own), got the job done.
