Power Steering Fluid Leak

Got a 2010 GC 3.3L with about 72,000 Kms on it.

Everything was fine when driving yesterday, then went to make a right turn and suddenly the thing started groaning/whirriling. Would get louder the if you give it gas or turn the steering wheel. Drove less than a quarter mile to pull into a parking lot safely and when i popped the hood the power steering resevoir was dead empty so I had it towed.

I added a crap load of Mobile ATF 4+ to it today. At first when I started the van, the resevoir was foamy (likely from air pumping through the fluid) and as I added more the foam eventually dissappeared. Drove it around the block a few times, then started getting the noise after maybe a half mile or so. Looks like it's leaking at the driver side right near the rubber boots (CV joints I think) and the where the hub meets.

My question is, does this sound like a loose connection/hose going or am I looking at an expensive fix, and how much damage was done by driving less than a quarter mile with no PS fluid?

Thanks in advance!
