Default electrical question

So its been a while since I posted last, but our GC(2010 sxt) has developed a new intermittent electrical issue. My wife was driving home and the her radio, heater and the turn signals all failed at the same time. She shut down the van and restarted it and they all worked again. A few weeks back she came in after we had already been in the van for a while, and she was going to work and she runs back in the house and says that her heater would not turn on. I once again restarted the van and the heater worked. We also have had issues with the back hatch where none of the buttons including the key fob would open the back door, but then after a restart it worked. Any ideas?? I have checked fuses and they are all good, had the battery and alternator checked at advance auto and they claim it is charging to spec and the CCA was good. I am taking it to the dealer soon b/c I just found that we have a blown drivers side lower ball joint and it should be covered under our extended warranty. Any thoughts I would appreciate it!! thanks.

Yes, I'm beating a dead horse. Not to say it IS your culprit, the TIPM (your fuse box) is high on the list. It controls all of your accessories and has been a known headache for Chrysler. Chrysler took the FCM and much of the BCM from previous generation vans and crammed it into an already cramped fuse box. There are several circuit boards covered with microprocessors and a multitude of connections both on the boards and between them that are just waiting to ruin your day. Here's pictures of what I'm talking about. This is a Jeep TIPM but yours is similar: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f96/o...study-1200238/

Other possibilities? You made a good move checking the battery and connections. Without steady power the electrics on the van can do surprising things. What else? Loose grounds in the driver's "B" pillar and under the left side of the dash. Chaffed wires in the power sliding door harnesses. The EVIC and it's computer node. What to do? Without proper test equipment not much. You can inspect the TIPM connections for any corrosion or damage (disconnect negative battery cable first). Try a wiggle teats on harnesses leading to and from the TIPM and anything accessible under the dash to try to induce and isolate the problem.
