I have a 2005 caravan 2.4L. The Haynes book says the location is on the back of engine block just above engine mount. I can't find it . The only sensor I see looks like the knock sensor (a spark plug looking sensor) not the crankshaft sensor (which is mounted by a 10 mm bolt) but the manual says the knock sensor is under the starter on the front side of engine.

 

according to the service manual, the crank position sensor is below the starter.
