[5th Gen : 08+]: AppRadio 3 on Grand Caravan 2008
I need help gathering all the parts needed for removing stock radio and installing AppRadio 3 maintaining the steering wheel control function, Here is what I know so far correct me if I'm wrong:
1- A device that communicate with the steering wheel buttons via a can bus data-link, I have one already Metra Axxess ASWC.
2- A device that provides switched +12v, reverse and parking signals from the same can bus wires.
3- A radio harness that connects the AppRadio, The OEM car plug and the above two devices all together.
Here is the problem, When I go on metra website I get a list of different devices and harnesses that have similar functionality and they are all compatible with my van and I don't know which one I need, So if anyone out there have a Dodge Grand Caravan SXT 2008 3.8L engine who went thru this already please help.
Here a list of parts just to name few that I have no clue which one to use:

I personally would use a PAC product over Metra. Ive installed many of both over the last 5 years or so and the PAC products are a lot easier to deal with.

That interface is the one that I used in my vehicle to connect a Pioneer AVHX4000NEX. It has all your necessary connections (parking brake, illumination, ACC, reverse wire, etc) right at the interface and has a built in SWC which is nice.
