[4th Gen : 01-07]: 2007 Grand Caravan -IOD Fuse No radio/dvd/power doors through key fab/interior lights
2007 Dodge Grand Caravan
In April 2012:
IOD fuse blows in fuse box. Radio and dvd player/screen stops working. Key Fab stops working when van is off. Rear Hatch will open and two sliding doors only when vehicle is turned.
Every time a new 20A fuse is put in whether van is on or off immediately blows. No fix.
In January of 2014
Went outside to leave for work, van would crank, crank, crank but not turn over. Towed to local shop, entire fuse box under the hood with a brand new one….
New fuse box did not fix IOD fuse issue.
Van returned with no Radio/DVD or Key Fabs working without van turned on. No interior lights when van powered off.
Attempted replacement IOD still blows immediately whether van is off or on.

You can start by disconnecting the radio, dvd/cd player, Front Control Module (FCM), Body Control Module (BCM), overhead console, HVAC control panel, adjustable pedal switch and Sentry Key Remote Module (SKREEM) one at a time and see if the fuse stops blowing. The IOD fuse distributes power to all of them. Whichever doesn't blow the fuse is either the culprit or the terminal point for the circuit that IS blowing the fuse. A comparative quick check would be to inspect the connections on the bottom of the IPM (fuse box) and fuse contacts for any signs of corrosion or damage. Can be internal to the IPM too. It's a known trouble spot.
FCM - Bolted to the front of the fuse box
BCM - Bolted to the firewall left of the brake pedal
HVAC - Heater A/C panel
SCREEM - Inside steering column near the ignition switch
Disconnect the negative battery cable before disconnecting/reconnecting any electronic module to prevent internal damage or when working under the dash or in the steering column to prevent the airbags from accidentally deploying.
