Default Unique? brake, steering problem

New guy around here, I have a 2005 SXT Grand Caravan, with all the bells and whistles. 130,000 miles 3.8 engine. This has been a rather trouble-free car, well maintained, with only routine repairs.
Wife broke down the other day, complained the brake pedal froze with the brakes applied. She claimed she also lost power steering.
When I arrived, the brakes were indeed applied, I rotated the ignition switch to on, the brakes released. Drove the car home, noticing a difference in effort turning the steering wheel left vs. right. Got the car on the lift, checked for brake problems, including leakage, fluid levels, calipers, etc.
This problem has reoccured several more times. I have no trouble codes displaying. Also no ABS warning lite.Only strange thing is, the red alarm lite above the temp. gauge now is constantly lit.????
I am a retired independent mechanic, specializing in Mopars. I still have a well equipped shop at home, but have not kept up with the technology of todays cars.
My first thought is the Master Cylinder, and Power Steering pump failing simoultaneously? BTW. Yesterday, during a heavy rainstorm, the 10amp. ign.switch fuse blew. related?????.
Sorry for the length of this post. You know, us old folk sure can talk. Hope someone can help me. Frank K.

First thing that comes to mind is that something inside the HCU stuck due to fluid contamination or ABS module electrical ?? Doesn't explain the P/S though.

That 2005 is still a DRB III car. The minivans are DRB up to 2007. If the ABS did cause it all and the light is out, it can still have the code stored. As you know, once the active condition is gone the light will go out, just like the airbag system.

See if you can get the socket number for that fuse that blew. You can track it back from there maybe. If you could talk a dealer into logging all of your codes in all the modules that would speed things up.
