When pressing the cruise control button to "on", it does not work and the light for the cruise control on the dash does not turn on, therefore my cruise doesn't work. What can I do to diagnose it? The horn works and no air bag lite (only when you initially turn the key to the run position and then the air bag lite turns off).

 

It can still be that clockspring. Recalled for life.

I've just come back from the dealer and they inspected it for fault codes - none present, so they did not replace the clockspring. Any suggestions on checking the cruise would be appreciated even if it's the clockspring, is there a way to diagnose it? The dealer is telling me there would still be a fault code if the clockspring was the cause of the cruise not working.

 

After discussing my unsatisfaction of preforming the recall, with the manager at the dealer, he invited me back for replacement of the clockspring. Afterwards the cruise control now works.
