Hello! We just purchased a new 2014 Dodge Caravan last week, with 14 miles on it. We are mostly happy with the amenities, but are really, really missing our compass and outside temperature gauge that we had on the 2006 Dodge Caravan that we traded. What were they thinking???
Any suggestions? Thinking about getting something at an auto parts store but . . .


We would not have traded in our 2006 Caravan with 85000 miles if the Dodge service could have resolved an issue we had with a whining noise now and then after highway driving for a few hours. It didn't happen all the time but every so often. From reading about others who had this issue it seemed to be from the power steering filter but mechanic said that would happen on a cold engine. Missing our 2006 van, can someone help us learn to love the 2014 van?

 

I think most have the outside temp,even my AVP model has the temp in the display between the guages, just use the step button on the steering wheel to cycle thru the options ,temp should be one of the options. As far as the whining on your old van it usually it was the power steering reservoir, replace that and the whining goes away , did that on our 2007 we had.

Hope whoever gets our 2006 van will learn that about replacing the power steering reservoir. It was a great ride for 8 years and we now are beginning to love the 2014.

 

wife and I just bought a 2014 RT. it has everything we need and wanted except one thing. Memory for seats and mirrors. hard to understand why they put all the power options on these vans but no memory. we really miss this feature
