Default air bag light on new RT van

picked up the dog from groomers few days ago and red light on dash next to gear selection display came on. thought it was a seatbelt light detecting an unbuckled passenger. read the owners manual and its 'airbag light'. doesn't come on every time we drive but most of the time it is on. van is couple weeks old with 600 miles. will be taking in for service Monday. Anyone had this problem?

where was the dog? the front seat does have a sensor in it for weight. if the weight is below a certain weight it disables the passangers airbag for safety reasons.

went in for service yesterday. they said it was a defective drivers seat belt buckle. had to be ordered. because its a safety issue, he said it should arrive in one to two days.

Most of the time all you read on forums is this or that dealership sucks because they did or didn't do x,y, or z. Thanks for posting your good experience.
