Our 2010 Dodge Caravan has been shutting off mid-drive; everything just stops and the vehicle seizes. It happens probably once a month or so.

And now, today, we went to turn the van on and got a "bad key" message and the van will not turn on.

I just saw a thread for a recall on the intermittent shutting off; seeing that it is the wireless ignition node (WIN) that causes that problem. I had no idea there was a recall for that; wondering if that recall package is still offered?

Would the "bad key" message be related to that recall, since that is also involving the wireless ignition node (WIN)?
