Hi I just got a caravan second hand and I like it. However it makes this loud rattling shaking sound when i step on the gas. I have done some diagnostics. Look and listen stuff. The noise comes from the engine compartment and the floor boards. but is not present when idling. I thought it could be the transmission but the automatic transmission has no trouble switching gears in any way that i can feel. Could all the noise be from loose motor mounts? or something along those lines. Any help is welcome.

Have the van lifted and inspect all the motor and transmission mounts for cracks.

 

You may want to check the exhaust system too for rattles.
