Default No Heat

06 grand w/no heat. Both lines are hot and all actuators seem to be working. Right off heater coil under dash both lines seem hot. Did hvac control internal test, no errors. Now I can't flush heater core because I live in an apt w/no access to a water hose. Is there another way to do a flush w/o going to the dealer or a garage? Any other ideas what might be wrong? Oh, I also don't have heat on defrost, only cold air.

if core is plugged, one hose is hot, the other is just warm. Can usually tell if the blend door is moving by putting it on panel mode and high blower. It will blow a lot harder in full cold than in full hot. You can also hear it change.

Yeah, but if both hoses are hot with no heat, what might be the problem?

And just recently I got heat, hot heat out of the defrost for almost 2 min then cold. Also if you turn the heat on in rear with rear control should it blow off the floor or the ceiling vent? It does one or the other, don't know if there is a temp sensor or what malfunctioning.

In my experience, both hoses hot, no heat = bad head or head gasket. Get exhaust pressure in the cooling system and it stops circulation.

If you have signs of overheating here's an example of what you may need. Some parts stores lend these test kits out:
Amazon.com: Lisle 75500 Combustion Leak Detector: Automotive Amazon.com: Lisle 75500 Combustion Leak Detector: Automotive

No signs of overheating has been this way for one year. In the southwest you can get away with no heat but here in east central US you can't . There's no loss of coolant ,discoloration or bubbles.
