Default 3.0L Caravan oil pressure check hook up

Howdy,

Interested in hooking up an oil pressure gauge to my engine to check the oil pressure. Anyone know where to hook one up on the 3 liter? Thx

Not sure where it is but remove the sending unit and install the gauge there.

Thx cougar I'll take a look and see what I can find. I found a manual for the 3.0L motor that points out an area of where the sender would be. I'm not sure if I'll have one though since I don't have a pressure gauge. I should still have a port to tap into I'd think.

Is attaching the pressure gauge to the sending unit port pretty much standard procedure for testing?

Also, would I be able to do it at the pressure sensor/switch instead?

It's by the oil filter. You have one. Idiot light or gauge it doesn't matter. Tap in there.

Why are you checking oil pressure?

Thx.

No particular reason, I just wanted to check the pressure to see what it looks like and go through the process. I do have some noisy valve train but it's been that way for like 8 years or something.

Yeah, I know that engine like one of my random body parts. The lifters are easy to replace if you ever need to. Good luck sir.
