My engine management light came on in my 2007 caravan 3.8 but it still runs ok??

 

Welcome to the forum. Do you mean the check engine light? If so, what code is it giving? If you don't own a code reader, take it to any auto parts store (advance, autozone, etc) they will scan it for free. Can't do anything for you until we know the code.

 

Yup. Need the code. "The light" means the engine computer has detected a fault and has stored a fault code. That code is needed to troubleshoot the fault. Not at all uncommon for the light to come on and everything seems fine. There are a group of faults that won't effect how an engine runs but does effect emissions.

 

Took it to a local repair shop today, it was a faulty ego . Got it fixed
