I first got this code p301 last summer august 2014
I changed plugs and wires(was 50k since I had last changed the plugs and wires) stock plugs/wires used
only miss was detected on Cold Start up
I also compression tested and all 6 cylinders were fine(I don't remember the values atm)
the Plug in question the one platinum point was damaged when I removed it in August
now yesterday (about 10k miles since plugs/wires change) I got the same )301 code when I first started the van, I could feel the miss for the first few seconds, then it evened out, I cleared the codes, did not return rest of yesterday, then again this morning, same thing at cold start up
will replace plugs tomorrow, and check compression,
my question is it possible that that fuel injector is slow to start delivering fuel? or any other possible cause to check for
how to check that injector/ clean, or should just replace that one injector,
advice appreciated,
Thanks

If you can prove you're missing the injector pulse from the PCM using a noid or test light I would consider taking a close look at the injector wire harness routed near the exhaust manifold. Melting of that harness is fairly common on earlier 4th generation vans but was supposed to have been rerouted starting in 05ish. I am still reading of wire harness issues though far less.
Thanks will have to get a noid light, and I believe my injector harness is routed, but will check
here are my dry compression values and pics of the spark plugs
cylinder 1 spark plug appears whiter then the others, not sure what that indicates, all advice greatly appreciated
compression
1 145
2 150
3 150
4 155
5 155
6 150
after changing the miss did go away, chance could have been just the plug
