I have a 2002 Grand Caravan. The lift gate makes unlocking noises and sounds like it is going to open but doesn't move. Any ideas about how to fix this ? I see 2 other Threads that have the same problem. One dated 2006 and the other dated 2007. I haven't found any responses. Is this problem that rare?

 

If you open it MANUALLY, then hit the CLOSE button, what happens?

 

It's common for the auto doors to not complete cycles and you have to manual open and close then it'll work again. There is no fix.

If the neumatic kit for the rear door is bad it's easy to replace in like 2 hours, the sliding doors are a different story..
