[3rd Gen : 96-00]: 99 3.0 caravan running lean
Hi there,
I have a 99 caravan w/ the 3.0L. I hooked my Solus up to it and found that my long term fuel trim is sitting around 20-25 at idle, and drops to about 10-16 while on the road.
I originally thought perhaps a vacuum leak, but so far propane and water have not turned one up. Also, the fuel trim stays in the 20's when I bring the RPM up while parked. The only time I've seen any type of FT correction is when the vehicle is under way.
O2 looks to be switching according to scan data. I don't have a lab scope so I can't get any waveforms.
Just looking for some guidance on what to check next. If there's any other scan data that would be helpful let me know and i"ll post it after I head home.
Thanks

If you're talking AFR, 13-15 is optimal for these motors.
If you're talking fuel pressure, it's 48lbs at the rail at idle IIRC (been a while).
Pull the line for the FPR and see if it smells of fuel. If so your FPR is likely leaking. Otherwise check Coolant sensor, TPS, MAP, for the correct numbers, as they all play a part in fueling.
