What year? how many miles? What engine? Hissing is indicative of a vacuum leak. Start tracing vacuum lines, especially those related to blend doors and such.

Hi tigrlilly,

Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your concern. Is this concern constant or do you notice any specific conditions when you’re hearing the noise?

only notice hissing noise inside the van when ac is turned on, you cannot hear the hissing noise outside the van. the air only gets cool not cold on the front drivers side vents. it comes out warm on passenger side and rear. hissing noise goes away when i turn the ac off. there was a clicking noise in the engine area when i turned the ac on, before i added the 1.5-2 cans of freon.

update: just in case anyone else experiences the same issue, we put gauges on the high and low ac ports, and the readings were both low added two more cans of freon, and both the high and low side readings are in normal range now, AC is ice cold, and also no more hissing noise in the cabin area.
