Default Rear hatch wont open

2010 Grand caravan sxt

Cant get my rear lift-gate to open. I have been reading through the forum for a couple days and just cant seem to find a thread that has had my issue.

The gate is down and locked and will not open with the fob, over head button or manual handle on the gate itself. I've removed the small access panel inside and have tried pulling and pushing on the release leaver at the latch itself. The leaver moves freely but will not release the gate.

I'm at a loss guys, any help would be appreciated.

Well after much playing around with it I finnaly got it open.
Removed the latch assembly worked the mechanism manually and nothing seems to be sticking anywhere. Tested the motor direct with 12v and it is working as well.
It's starting to look like an electrical issue to me. Dose anyone have or know where I can get a schematic for this system?

Default Solved

Would like to post my solution with the hopes that someone else encountering this problem may find this post.

Behind the scissor jack compartment lies the Liftgate control module. There was a lot of corrosion in one of the connectors to the point that one wire was completely broke off. Quick clean and solder job it's back in service.
