97 Caravan Dash

I have a 97 Caravan and I want to re-paint around the stereo. The piece has 2 screws, but how does the bottom come off? Do I just pull it? Will Krylon Fusion paint for plastics work good?

I don;t know about the paint, but there are 2 screws at the bottom above the cupholder. They are behind a small filler panel that is the same color as the dash.
