Hi! I read on another thread of this topic that the bcm was probably responsible for the gauges in my 1991 not working.
I think i can narrow it down.
Would a bad bcm be responsible for my wipers working when shut off, in addition to my gauges going on and off?

In a word - yes. Test/inspect wiring before heading to the BCM.
