Parking brake broken when pushed and went all the way to the floor
2006 Caravan, parking brake was pressed and something in there broke (nothing visible), and now is stuck all the way touching the floor. The release lever does nothing and I cannot pull up the foot brake lever.
Additionally, this brake was really not working before, you could still roll down the driveway with it on, however the driver was always taught to apply the parking brake and was doing so daily anyway.
I took the car for a drive, there appear to be no bad effects, it drives fine, except for the warning light that the brake is on. However I am worried that something I am unaware of will cause longer term wear or damage.
Anything I should do or is it ok to drive?
Thanks.
