My neighbor had a similar problem with his 04 caravan headlight switch. With his, the lights would turn on while the switch was in the off position. (This left him with a dead battery a few times - apparently, the auto-headlamps off feature only works when the light switch is actually turned on.) Seems like using the fog lamps (PULL) also did something to help avoid this problem - I don't remember exactly, but the switch was very touchy in the off position. After fiddling with it, we found that leaving the switch ON allowed the auto-off feature towork, and it shut themoff after the few minutes of delay.

Turning in the lease solved the problem for him (I'm sure it was ultimately fixed under warranty.)

 

Hi, My name is Mrs. Mathis and my husband bought me a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan for me and it is giving me some problems. My left head light goes in and out and now when I turn the key to the off position, the engine still stays running for about 15-20 seconds if that and then as it finally cuts off, it lugs a little..... Please help if you can.
