I changed the oil on my '11 over the weekend and ran into a problem. The spring loaded valve plunger decided to let go and launch itself across my driveway. I found all the pieces and put it back together as best I could. Is this enough to restore the function, or do I need to upgrade to the redesigned filter housing found on the '14+ models? The service manager at the local dealer said installing the redesigned cap was enough, but I have my doubts. Anybody have experience with this?
