I have a 2007 Grand Caravan with 3.8L engine and about 132,100 miles and have never changed the fuel filter. Is there an external (of the tank) fuel filter or is it with the fuel pump in the tank? Please advise.

 

The 2007 does not have an external filter.

Earlier models (2001-2003 and maybe some 2004's) did have an external filter located above the tank.

Thank you for the reply. So is there no fuel filter at all on the van?

 

It's on the fuel pick up on the fuel pump.

No. It's designed to last the life of the van. Bit of apples and oranges but my 96 has an external filter above the tank and I changed it at around 180K miles only because I had to drop the tank to change my leaking pump, otherwise, it would still be there.
