Default 06 dodge grand caravan sxt

hello im having problems trying to figure out why my van is sluggish and engine cuts out in 3rd gear about 3500 rpm. when going uphills my rpms run high and it never shifts. I've replace both O2 sensors and the Egr valve please help. thanks Bryan

What engine? How many miles? When was the last tune up? Have you checked the transmission fluid? Is the check engine light on?


Since you use very little punctuations, what I gather from the post is this:


The van is sluggish and the engine shuts off in 3rd gear at 3500 RPM's and when going up hills the RPM's are high and it never shifts.


Try and clarify that statement please. If we cannot understand, it's kinda hard to help.

It's a 3.8l. 139,000 miles.Yes I have check the transmission fluid.The last tune up was about 10,000 miles ago.
