[4th Gen : 01-07]: '02 Dodge Caravan :: Replacing Car Radio ~ Form Factor Name??
I won a 2002 Dodge Caravan SE (3.3, V6).
The vehicle is equipped with the OEM car radio/cd player. The LCD comes on fine but when i go to change the channel the unit does not respond; it does not seek. When inserting a CD i can see it playing but i hear nothing and when i select SEEK the cd player starts randomly jumping through tracks.
I'm guessing i need to replace the entire car radio. A few questions:
1. What is the proper name for the car radio / cd player? Is it just called a car radio?
2. To replace my the complete existing OEM car radio unit must i obtain the exact same form factor? What is the name or number of the proper form factor to fit the area?
Ideally if i must replace this thing I'm looking for radio, mp3, 3mm jack in, and cd player.
Thanks.

If you want all those functions, you might as well replace the head unit with an aftermarket one that has all the functions you want. Go to Crutchfield.com. They will supply you everything you need to install an aftermarket head unit. Bezel, wiring harnesses and all instructions you need.
