[5th Gen : 08+]: Possible remote interference from another Chrysler vehicle
I've had an intermittent problem the last few months where my remote won't lock or unlock my car, but it only happens when I park it in front of my house. The front of my house is parallel parking and the problem seems to come up most often when my next-door neighbor parks her Jeep with the front facing the front of my van. I think it started when she moved in next door this past fall. I don't know offhand the year or model of the Jeep but I would estimate it's around 2008, same as my van. The remote seems to work fine when the Jeep isn't there or when it's parked with its back to my van's front. I had the R-03 recall done last week and got two new FOBIKs, and still have the same problem.
Is it possible that my neighbor's Jeep is interfering with the signal from my remote to my van? I should mention that the previous neighbor also had a Jeep, probably 2012 or newer, and we never had this kind of problem.

It's definitely possible for there to be remote interference occurring in your situation. There can be remote interference from cell phones, GPS devices, etc. as well. If this strictly occurs when your neighbor's vehicle is not around, it would certainly seem to point to that. I would recommend continuing to look for any patterns with this concern, and if you notice it happening in any other circumstances have it diagnosed at a dealership.
Thanks for the input, Jack. The neighbor's Jeep is a 2008 Liberty according to the registration sticker. I wonder if Chrysler introduced the WIN on that model that year like they did with the Grand Caravan. But regardless, does the module that receives the FOBIK button signals also transmit any signals? I'm guessing the WIN transmits some RF signal to query the FOBIK when it's in the WIN but I doubt that transmits with enough power to interfere with an another vehicle. I don't know if the neighbor's car has a GPS navigation system.
I'm guessing this is going to turn out to be an annoyance that I'm just going to have to deal with because it will cost more money than it's worth to correct.
