Default Transmission went with no warning

I have a 2002 Grand Caravan that has been driving just fine. No check engine light has come on, nothing. All my gears have been working just fine. Than just out of nowhere today as my husband was coming home from work as he would push on the gas pedal the van would go nowhere. The engine would reve up but the van would not move.

Mileage? Any transmission services ever done? Reverse work? Can you manually shift? Probably need to have it checked out by a transmission shop.

Have you checked the fluid level? Last fluid and filter change? If you recycle the key will it work normally?

It has approximately 183,000 miles on it. I just bought it on May 12, 2016. So less than a month ago. The dealer is refusing to help. So I'm on my own. However, no check engine light came on, no dummy lights (as I call them) came on at all. There was no warning, the transmission just stopped shifting. My van is an automatic. I can start the van and place it in drive, reverse, third, etc but the van will not go anywhere. I checked all my fluids and the fluids are fine, including the transmission fluid. I initial thought it might have been the throttle cable, considering one of the cables is loose. However, as I apply on the gas pedal the RPM's increase. So that theory went out the window.

Is the gear selection on the dash corresponding to what you select? No other indication problems on the dash?

Consider removing the fluid pan and looking for metal debris. If there then it's time for a rebuild. It may be even if there is none.
