[3rd Gen : 96-00]: Easier Way to Adjust Low/Reverse Band?
I have a 2000 Caravan with the 2.4 engine. I has the 31th 3-speed transmission. The service manual says to tighten the low/reverse band to 41 inch pounds "true torque". Then back it off 3 1/2 turns. I have a bar type inch pound torque wrench. When I use it, I don't get repeatable results, and the results I do get seem too tight. There must be an easier, more accurate way to do this.
Hopefully, the Mopar experts can help.
Many thanks to all.
