Question Bad battery?

Hi all,
our 2015 R/T had to get boosted twice today. The first time we had the van parked with the hatch open and the radio playing for around 20mins. When we were ready to leave, it wouldn't start (interior lights and stereo were fine, but the windshield wipers were slow when set to the high position).
2nd time i was sitting in the van, engine off, and listening to the radio for around 30mins. Van wouldn't start, same symptoms as the first.
Each time CAA boosted the van with one of those portable chargers.
Is this an indication of a bad battery? I'm not sure what the warranty is and the dealer isn't opened till Tuesday.
PS: Any recommendations on a portable booster? I asked the CAA guy what his thoughts were and he said it was a waste of money?!?

Note: After getting boosted last night, we had a drive home that took over an hour, enough time to charge the battery.
12 hours later, i started up the van, no issues. This seems to rule out a parasitic draw?

Just to make sure you might consider having the battery load tested - usually free at any parts store.

Thumbs up

Hi Cougar41,
the van had to be boosted again yesterday morning. Afterwards, i took the van to the dealer and had the battery replaced without charge as it was still under warranty
